Fred Chitonga
Managing Director

Fred is a certified project manager, change agent and respected consultant. His work spans board advisory, theoretical training,  consulting, and project management works for major miners in  Africa, Asia, South America and Europe. Fred's continuous research work and comprehension of key drivers for organisational survival and growth is an internal capability. Fred holds a master's degree in Business Leadership from the Graduate School of Business Leadership, University of South Africa, and a bachelor's degree in geosciences from the University of Zimbabwe.  

Dr. Munga Bahome
Associate Consultant

Dr. Bahome is an experienced mining professional, multi-lingual engineer and project manager, and has been actively involved in the natural minerals extractive industry for many years around Africa. He has international experience with major mining companies in open pit, underground and consulting environments, and is conversant in leading engineering applications.  His focus areas include research, mineral processing, mining, hydro-metallurgy, plant production, metallurgical processes’ optimization and design. Munga holds a PhD in chemical engineering from Wits University, South Africa.

Dr. Cecil Mutambanengwe
Associate Researcher

Dr. Mutambanengwe is an experienced professional and project manager. He has extensive international experience in areas of scientific research, mineral resources and sustainability in diverse environments. Cecil is conversant in leading business research methodologies and applications. His flexibility in diverse cultural environments in teams and with clients have been key in making him a value-adding contributor. Cecil holds a PhD in Environmental Biotechnology from Rhodes University, South Africa.

Trevor is an experienced metallurgical/chemistry professional with an hands on approach in process research and development, plant commissioning, metallurgical testwork design, and laboratory to pilot plant setups. Commodities include, copper, cobalt, iron ore and gold. He holds a MSc. in Metallurgy from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and a bachelors degree in Chemistry from the University of Zimbabwe.

Vusi Thodlana
Associate Consultant

Vusi is a geochemistry industry expert, experienced laboratory manager and mining professional. His vast network, developed over the years across several industries has been pivotal in tapping into inter-disciplinary solutions. Vusi is key in assisting testing and calibration laboratories in securing and maintaining ISO17025:2005 accreditation. Vusi holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and physics from the University of Zimbabwe, business management leadership training from the University of the Witwatersrand, and advanced XRF training from the University of Cape Town. 

Mengo Siwale
Associate Researcher

Mengo is an avid researcher, project manager and mechanical engineer. He has extensive experience in emerging market environments. Among his publications include a best-seller titled "Scenario planning for Southern Africa". Mengo holds an MBA from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University, United Kingdom.
